Product Support Representative

The Product Support Representative is responsible for meeting/exceeding the annual sales goals and targets established by the Director, Business Development. Develops new business opportunities and referrals to prospective customers. Establishes strong working relationships with assigned customers and provides ongoing service to help plan and support their machining repair and overhaul projects.

The successful incumbent must possess strong driving skills, an ability to communicate with customers and other staff while exhibiting diligence and ownership of the data and information gathered from the field for use within the office, parts department and machine shop.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build a high degree of knowledge and understanding of Vulcan customers, their specific needs, Vulcan machining processes, materials and pricing to provide more comprehensive input and feedback to current and prospective customers about their machining needs and factors affecting pricing, quality and delivery.
  • Gather key information on all customers rotating equipment, including manufacturer, frame number, model number, etc. and ensure documentation is accurate and current.
  • Manage customers on-site inventory of spare parts. Update customer inventory counts regularly and ensure accurate labeling of all Vulcan provided parts and assemblies.
  • Organize customer site pick-up of repair or service work and deliver to Vulcan shop along with all relevant information, including customer name, location, scope of work, part numbers, quantities and required delivery date.
  • Provide on time customer delivery services returning repaired or new parts to location along with relevant paperwork, securing signed delivery receipts.
  • Understand and adhere to all organizational health and safety policies and procedures and ensure the safety of self and others, completing the necessary inspections and paperwork to facilitate the required business functions.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Work Experience: 5+ Years preferred of relevant industry experience in a sales role or similar.
  • Skills: Strong driving skills. Strong communication skills. Extraordinary Customer Service.
  • Knowledge: Industry Experience. Rotating Equipment. Reciprocating Compressor components.

 

Job Type:

Full-time, Permanent

 

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (8AM to 5PM) Baseline
  • On call rotation (encompassing some evenings and weekends)
